Introduction
To structure the various things we are doing as a community and movement, we have specified a couple of building phases.
Document language
To do things together in a good way so that Pulse can be effective and travel across the world, we have decided to use business “speak” for the daily office stuff, as the terminology is specific and widely understood. Note: If you are spiritually orientated, you might find the way we are talking about things offensive.
Phases overview
The starting phases can be broken down into the following four phases:
- Bootstrapping - starting Pulse
- Boot - get team onboard
- Dawn - get partners onboard
- Sunrise - Building the community
Bootstrapping
“Bootstrapping” comes originally from pulling yourself up by the bootstraps and is used to mean preparing to “boot” the system.
It covers the period from getting the idea to defining a couple of structures and initiating things.
Some of the activities are:
- Registering domains, accounts with other providers
- Getting a basic website up
- Putting structure to general thoughts
- Discovering what we want to do and how to basically go about it
- Doing the first pulsing.
Boot
“Boot” is similar to the term used when restarting your mobile - We are booting the virtual organisation. Some of the activities are:
- Getting an organisational team onboard
- Getting a scientific guidance team together
- Talks with possible sponsors
- Creating the operative framework for working
- Defining and perhaps building the operational platform or tools
- Creating communication materials.
Dawn
“Dawn” is the time before the sun rises in the morning. With Pulse it is the period where we are reaching out to possible partners around the world. Partners can be:
- Local operational partners - i.e. organising events, getting traction
- Sponsors, national and international
- Organisations who favour and support Pulse, i.e. religions, spiritual groups, health organisations and insurance companies
- Flag bearers such as VIPs, stars.
Sunrise
With “Sunrise” we want to reach out to people around the world and grow the community.
